影像档案与研究中心成立
中国美术学院跨媒体艺术学院影像档案与研究中心计划于2019年5月25日正式成立，并于当日举办系列讲座与相关活动。作为跨媒体艺术学院最新发起成立的研究部门，影像档案与研究中心的工作目标计划分为三个层次：（1）建立国内外艺术学院影像艺术教学的专题资料库；（2）建立国内外当代影像艺术实践与研究的档案与文献中心；（3）年度的主题研究计划与出版计划。
影像档案与研究中心由跨媒体艺术学院实验艺术系高世强教授担任主任，艺术学者与策展人董冰峰担任副主任，吴穹担任研究助理，并计划设立学术顾问委员会。
（1）建立国内外艺术学院影像艺术教学的专题资料库
近年来，影像艺术教育在国内高等艺术院校当代艺术教育体系中的重要性愈发明显。作为跨媒体艺术学院影像艺术教学的专题资料库，影像档案与研究中心致力于建立标准化的高校影像艺术档案收存与交换系统，收集保存并整理中国美院跨媒体艺术学院在内的国内外艺术院校影像艺术专业优秀学生作品。一方面推动本校影像艺术教学和创作的历史脉络梳理与研究；另一方面回应教学诉求，为影像艺术教学方面积累与提供专题教学资料。
（2）建立国内外当代影像艺术实践与研究的档案与文献中心
自1996年杭州中国美术学院举办中国首个录像艺术大展“现象－影像”以来，中国美术学院即培养了大量至今活跃在中国当代艺术现场的影像艺术家，他们的艺术实践及艺术观点极大丰富了我们今天理解与研究当代中国影像艺术的历史及其关键课题。同时近二十年中国的影像艺术已经深入参与到全球艺术的舞台与现场，扮演和扩展了重要角色与语言实践的边界。影像档案与研究中心将不断致力于收集整理、研究保存中国及部分国际区域的具活力与代表性的影像艺术家的作品档案与重要影像艺术展览出版物。
（3）年度的主题研究计划与出版计划：
作为跨媒体艺术学院最新发起成立的研究部门，影像档案与研究中心的主要工作将聚焦影像艺术档案的建立、研究和出版工作，作为机构常态化的放映活动、讲座与主题学术会议将不断推动上述两项主要工作的深化发展。2019至2020年度主题为“亚洲影像艺术：1945年以来”，将包括一系列的作品放映、演讲与工作坊和出版项目。此项目以当代中国的影像艺术的艺术现场与社会状况为思考出发点，尝试梳理“不以欧洲殖民现代观”为参照的“亚洲现代”的历史及其特性，在今天不断变幻的亚洲场域中提供既带有历史反思又包括了现实体验及其艺术实验中的一种动态视角。
影像档案与研究中心将于5月25日举办相应讲座及活动。
Archive and Research Centre of Moving Image of School of Intermedia Art, CAA, is scheduled to open on May 25, 2019, lectures and interrelated events will be held on the same day. As a newly initiated and established research department of the Intermedia Art School, the intentions of Archive and Research Centre of Moving Image will be divided into three gradations: (1) to establish a thematic database of moving-image teaching in Chinese or international academies; (2) to establish archive and documentation center for contemporary moving-image practice and research; (3) to conduct annual researching and publishing projects.
Professor Gao Shiqiang, from the Department of Experimental Art of the Intermedia Art School, will be director of Archive and Research Centre of Moving Image. Dong Bingfeng, art scholar and curator, will be the deputy director. Wu Qiong will be the research assistant, in the meantime, an academic advisory committee is planned to set up.
（1）Establishing a thematic database of moving-image teaching in Chinese or international academies:
In recent years, the significance of moving-image teaching in the contemporary art education system of art colleges in China has been revealed. As a thematic database of moving-image teaching in the School of Intermedia Art, the Archive and Research Centre of Moving Image is dedicated to establishing a standardized storage-and-exchange system for video art archives in colleges and universities, adopting and reorganizing exceptional student works from domestic and foreign art institute, including School of Intermedia Art. Through this project, we planned to promote the historical context of video art teaching and creating. On the other hand, it responds to teaching demands, at the same time accumulates and provides special teaching materials for video art teaching.
（2）Establishing archive and documentation center for contemporary moving-image practice and research:
Since 1996, the first video-art exhibition “Phenomenon-Video” was held in China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, a lot of video artists have been trained in China Academy of Art, who have now become active in contemporary Chinese art scene. Their art practices and artistic views have enriched our understanding of the history of contemporary Chinese video art and its key issues. In the meantime, video-art pieces from China has been deeply involved in the stage and scene of global art for nearly two decades, playing important roles and expanding the boundaries of language practice. Archive and Research Centre of Moving Image will focus on cataloguing and studying archives of representative video artists and exhibition publications from China and certain international regions.
（3）Annual researching and publishing projects:
As the newly launched research department of School of Intermedia Art, the main task of Archive and Research Centre of Moving Image will be focused on establishing, researching and publication of moving-image archives. Screenings, lectures and thematic conferences, as normalized activities, will continue to deepen the two major tasks as aforesaid. The topic for year 2019 to 2020 is "Moving Image in Asia: Since 1945", which will include a series of screenings, lectures, workshops and publishing projects. Based on the art scene and social conditions of contemporary Chinese video art, this project tries to sort out the history and characteristics of “Modernity of Asia”, which is not based on the modern European colonial concepts. It provides a dynamic perspective that combines historical reflection with real experience and artistic experiments in the ever-changing Asia field.
Academic lectures and opening events will be held on May 25.
