前言

本次展览是在09年底开始筹划，是关于如何利用现有的大望文化高地平台，促成不同区域的艺术家们互动，对艺术进行更有深度的思考，对当下生活有鲜活敏锐的艺术感受。

来自北京、深圳等地及几位有国外生活背景的艺术家们在进行着不同的尝试，由于背景（不同地域艺术家文化身份）的不同，艺术家通过自己的作品在不同角度上反思一些问题，试验表达自己的独立判断。

艺术独特的语言像横亘在艺术家们面前的大山一样，攀登的路很长，如何在同质化的各类图像范式中找到自己的属性，很多人可能终生没有结果，这也许正是艺术魅力所在，在这个寻找的过程中，希望大望文化高地能为真正热爱生活的艺术家们起到台阶的作用。

Preface

Preparations for this exhibition have been made since the end of 2009. Under the existing Dawang cultural highland platform, the exhibition aims at promoting interactions among artists from different regions. In this way, they will get acute and refreshing artistic vibrations on the present life. All this will vitalize their insightful inspirations on art.

The artists from Beijing, Shenzhen (and some have oversea life experiences) are engaged in artistic innovations, Due to their different living backgrounds (artists from different regions hold different cultural identity), each artist express his/her own viewpoints and judgements under his/her unique perspective.   The unique language of Art just like a great mountain in front of the artists. Artists have a long way to go before they surmount it. For an artist, how to forge his/her own unique style among kaleidoscopic spectrum-like artistic modes is his/her mission. Perhaps this is the art of charm of art. But many of them may achieve nothing. Dawang cultural highland platform hopes that it can make certain contributions to help all artists in their long pursuance of art.

正如整个当前中国文化所面对的问题，引进与借用成了一种快捷的模式，自由精神只是一个假象，人们在面临共同的问题和不同的环境中所得到的感受不同；人们大部分显著差异是由文化决定的，不论你讲的语言，使用的工具，偏好的食物，选择的职业，还是你的观念，无不首先依从于你生长的文化环境；文化的差异导致了人的差异，差异的存在，不能视为简单的文化现象；社会架构中，文化的角色如此地突显，也具有相当的约制力，文化与生活本身是等量齐观的。

通过这次展览可以看到北京的艺术家和珠三角地区的艺术家在不同地域中所扮演的角色，关注同样问题的各种可能性；有些艺术家也是频繁的往来几地生活，不同城市的经历有着不同的体验。

As the entire current Chinese culture, introducing and borrowing became a quick mode. Liberty of spirit is only an illusion. People’s feelings towards common problems and different circumstances are diversifying. These divergences are determined by culture. For anyone, personal traits such as the language spoken, tools used, food preferences, occupations taken or ideologies held are dependent on the cultural circumstances where he or she is brought up. Cultural differences led to people's differences in all aspects. Of course such differences cannot be treated as simple cultural phenomenon. In social architectural structure, the role of culture are always be highlighted for its substantial restrictions force. In fact, culture and life can be paralleled with regards to their compacts.

Through this exhibition we can see the roles that Beijing artists and their counterparts from the Pearl River Delta region play in different regions. Their possibility to be concerned about the same issues can also be reflected from this exhibition. Among the artists, some are frequently traveling across many regions, and their expereinces about different city lives somehow can be seen in the exhibition.
